| Les Oeufs d'Or... A company that brings you the best of two worlds with a happy marriage of cutting-edge technology and a healthy respect for Mother Nature! | ![]() |
| A company that sees the big picture!
The Les Oeufs d'Or company has 89,000 laying hens and is among Quebec's 10 largest egg producers.
Manure is composted using equipment which stirs the manure
for an average of 42 days so that each pile is mixed every 2 days. A ventilator
also ensures aeration. 7 to 8 tons of fresh manure are produced each day
and are transported to the composting building without the addition of
any other product.

Founded in 1946 by Mr. Joe Beauvais, the family company
started out with 1,500 hens. In 1978, Denis Beauvais, his son, became the
sole owner of the farm which then contained approximately 13,000 hens.
For Denis this was the beginning of quite an adventure.
Today the farm has an annual production of 17,500,000 eggs. The success of the company is mainly due to the spirit of innovation which reigns there. Indeed, over the years the company has had many sudden expansions and transformations, always with the goal of producing the best products in the best possible way.
|
In 1989, a new project was introduced, and Mr. Beauvais
built his own grain mill with a capacity of 3 tons per hour. The hens consume
60 tons of feed each week.
In 1995, Mr. Beauvais acquired a new machine, bought in
Germany, to compost hen manure. Today this product is available on the
North-American market.
