The 1998 Gala de l'entreprise rewards Les Oeufs d'Or for the research
that led to the development of Écolo-Nature.
The "Research and Technological Development" award honours the company for their completion of a research and development project which has proven beneficial to both the company and the community. The Les Oeufs d'Or poultry farm is now marketing an organic fertilizer composed of poultry manure through their wholly-owned subsidary, Écolo-Nature. After a $2 million initial investment, the company now produces 2,000 tons of fertilizer each year. |
The Japanese were very impressed by their visit to the Les Oeufs
d'Or poultry farm.
The Les Oeufs d'Or poultry farm of Val d'Or was recently visited by a delegation of Japanese businessmen who represented one of Japan's most important egg producers - which has almost 1.8 million chickens. |
These people came to get a close-up look at the equipment
used in the composting of manure in the hopes of realizing a similar project
in Japan.
The guests were amazed, stating that Les Oeufs d'Or was among the cleanest companies that they had seen on their trip around the world.
